5 Star House for the Dear Friends
Karsiyaka Municipality which works to provide more modern and healthy conditions for the dear friends, completed additional service buildings of Ornekkoy Temporary Dog Care House and Rehabilitation Center. The facility which provides 5 star comfort for the Stray guests, got full marks from animal lovers.
Fully Equipped Facility
At the new living area having 30 rooms which are closed or open, a dog care room, 2 pieces of examination room, 1 surgery room, veterinary doctor’s room, registration room, and waiting room for those coming to the facility to adopt dogs have been constructed. A grass area of 300 square meters is established for the dear friends to socialize and play games. While service quality of facility is improved with the investment that is made, more hygienic and modern living conditions are provided for the dear friends that are hosted.
Care from A to Z
At the facility which continues with its activities as being part of Karsiyaka Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate, health and care services are provided to stray dogs from A to Z. The dogs that are brought to the center are first undergoing general health control and internal and external parasite drugs are being applied. Sterilization operations and vaccines are being made. Sick and injured animals are being treated. Dogs which get healthy after the period they are taken care of, are left to where they were found as per the laws. Sick, old, and amputee friends who can not continue to survive on the streets are becoming the permanent guests of the facility. By means of adoption works, tens of dogs are finding their warm homes each year.
