Glow of “Honey Village” in Sancaklı

Karsiyaka Municipality founded Honey Village in Sancaklı District to introduce healthy and quality products with public. Honey bottling factory which has been inactive for a long time got started over again. Besides, Breakfast House is active with organic products. Mayor Hüseyin Mutlu Akpınar said that they will activate the village life again. “We will reunite the village and the city. Because villagers are the lords of public.”

Honey Village is Founded

Both to support employment and meet healthy products with public, Karsiyaka Municipality founded one of the biggest women cooperative in Turkey in an old honey bottling factory which had been inactive for years become active again. Every year, tones of honey from the producers will be bottled in this plants and will be on sale with Honey Village brand especially in Karsiyaka Municipality City Coop Markets to public.

Breakfast Feast in Village

Furthermore, a Breakfast House is made behind honey bottling facility organic products will be presented with reasonable prices for citizens. In the breakfast house which will be run by Karsiyaka Woman Cooperative members, gozleme will be served as well. For kids there is a playground in which they can spend enjoyable time.

Festive Air in Village

Opening ceremony is held in Sancakli District an Karsiyaka Municipality Mayor Hüseyin Mutlu Akpınar, his spouse Zehra Akpınar, Izmir parliamenters Özcan Purçu and Mustafa Balbay, Karşıyaka Mufti İsa Gürler, headmen, council members and villagers attended. Mayor Akpinar is welcomed in company with band and walked till the square with villagers. Breakfast is served to guests. Parliamenters Purcu and Balbay thanked the mayor for the facility.
